Green process heat and steam for the industry

How to reduce your gas dependency with thermal energy storage

Thermal energy storage – what is it, and what role do they play in reducing gas consumption and decarbonization? Eliminating fossil fuels by electrifying industrial processes with renewable energy accelerates decarbonization and enables valuable cost savings. In this network meeting, Dr. Magnus Mörtberg from ENERGYNEST will present technologies for green process heat and steam and explain how thermal storage can contribute to the decarbonization of industry and reduction of gas dependency. Besides the presentation of the technology, there will also be a presentation of 2 projects and concrete use cases of thermal storage: at YARA International in Porsgrunn, Norway, as well as in combination with Europe’s largest emerging CST platform together with Avery Dennison in Belgium.

Programme:
8:30 Welcome and lecture
9:00 Q&A and discussion
9:15 Closing

The event will be conducted digitally (on Microsoft Teams) and in English.

In the energy-intensive food & beverages industry, there are high requirements for the continuous availability of sustainable energy. Against this background, thermal energy storage systems offer great potential.

Modern energy storage systems that are quickly ready for use can provide important support to reduce dependence on gas in the chemical industry and drive electrification.

With Carlijn Lahaye joining the team as Managing Director Netherlands, ENERGYNEST has now established a Dutch entity to fully target the market.
